We'll take you from the open river outside Willowgate Activity Centre, up the tranquil Tay towards the historic city of Perth, with its many distinctive buildings. Along the way keep an eye out for otters and beavers, you might just be lucky enough to see them! You’ll be sure to see other wildlife too, such as herons, cormorants, oyster catchers and maybe even a kingfisher!

As you traverse around Moncrieffe Island you will see the evidence that beaver’s dwell here, as a few of the trees will show the unmistakable gnaw marks.

Don’t worry if you don’t have any kayak experience, this leisurely paddle will be guided by one of our very experienced instructors, who, as well as pointing out interesting things, will keep a close eye on everyone and make sure that no stragglers are left behind.

If you have a younger explorer (under 14) or just fancy sharing some of the paddling with someone, we also have tandem kayaks, just ask on the day.

Our river trips are based on the tidal times of the river, so they are not run every day at the same time. Please check the website for times and availability. If there isn’t a date or time that suits you, please ring as we might be able to put on additional tours.
