Collaboration and sharing are key to Willowgate’s ethos. We feel very lucky that we’re surrounded by so many amazing local organisations and people who has help support us every step (or paddlestroke) of our journey. If you’re an organisation who believes we could help each other then we’d love a conversation!
|Tay Salmon Fishing Company:
Tay Salmon Fisheries are our main partner and provide invaluable assistance. David Clarke was Chairman of Tay Salmon Fisheries and founder of the Tay & Earn Trust. The company have leased the land for the Activity Centre to the Trust and also provide constant advice, support and friendship. We wouldn’t be doing what we do today without Tay Salmon!
The Gannochy Trust, based in Perth, was founded in 1937 by Arthur Kinmond Bell. The Trust has made significant contributions to a wide variety of projects across Scotland over many years, ranging from major national flagship projects to smaller community projects. We are very grateful to the Gannochy Trust for providing funding, over several years, to support the core costs for the operation of our activity centre.
|Perth College UHI:
Perth College UHI are also an important partner and user of our Activity Centre. Their Outdoor Education students develop their water sports skills at Willowgate and we also support the teaching programme at the College. We are also delighted to say that we have been able to offer employment opportunities to many of the students as activity instructors at the Centre.
|Scottish Canoe Association: Our national governing body not only supply us with the qualifications and licenses we need to provide so many paddlesports opportunities, but they also work with us to innovate, collaborate and reflect, to ensure that together we keep pushing the sport forwards. We feel proud to be one of their delivery partners as well as winning one of their national awards for our work with additional support needs.|
|Perth and Kinross Council and Fife Council:|
Our two local councils are one of our main partners and provided partnership funding to support the early development of the Activity Centre and Tay & Earn Trust. The Councils also provide ongoing advice and assistance and help promote the Activity Centre both within the Council and with their other partners.
