Survival Day on Sunday 17th January 9:30 – 16:00 7-15 Years £35pp
Bear Grylls will have nothing on you once you have been on our survival day here at Willowgate!
An action packed day with activities like shelter building, learn how to build yourself a shelter using just your imagination and natural, responsibly sourced material.
Cook on an open fire, this may also involve learning to either gut and cook a trout or skin and cook a rabbit, just like bear Grylls and Ray Mears!
Stuck out in the middle of no where? no fresh water to drink? Don’t worry, with our techniques on water filtration you would be able to survive the harshest of environments!
You will also learn about basic animal tracking, how to light a fire, how and what to forage, identifying the good berries from the bad!
Come prepared for a day in typical Scottish winter weather, change of clothes, woolly hats and mitts/gloves, water proofs and wellies as well as sturdy boots if you have them?
First base layer should be non cotton, which will draw the moisture away from your body and keep you a lot warmer.
Although you will be doing some outdoor cooking, please bring packed lunch, snacks and drink and maybe a nice flask of hot soup or hot chocolate to help keep you warm.
