Discover, Explore, Conserve & Share are the 4 key principles of the John Muir Award. At Willowgate we use these 4 principles to help guide participants through an adventure in the wild, discovering and exploring a wild place through activities such as kayaking, climbing, walking and biking as well as getting to know the wildlife and environment of that area. The participants will also take part in a conservation project to help sustain the wild place they have discovered. At the end of the award the participants are encouraged to share their experience with friends, family and the wider world, we look to take as active a part as required in this supporting as appropriate to the needs of the group.
